Vanessa is a trusted leader in cultural resources management across the western United States. Known for bringing clarity and structure to complex compliance efforts, Vanessa partners closely with clients, agencies, and Tribes to deliver thoughtful, defensible solutions for large-scale infrastructure and land-management projects. With more than 26 years of experience, she has led hundreds of CRM projects supporting transportation, renewable energy, water infrastructure, and linear utility development, guiding efforts from early planning through consultation, mitigation, and implementation. Vanessa has held executive and board leadership roles within national professional organizations, including the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA) and the Register of Professional Archeologists (RPA), and is widely respected for her collaborative approach, strategic judgment, and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
Professional Highlights
Served on the board of directors for the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA) and was a member of the communications committee for the organization.
Expanded geographic programs and built western teams for two CRM firms as well as ERG.
Founding member of the Women in California Archaeology Group for the Society of California Archaeology (SCA).
Served as the Chair of Education for the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA).
Founding member of the Western Belize Regional Cave Project (WBRCP).
